test pipe + no muffler vs actual exhaust system...
right know on my integra i have stock header, a test pipe and no muffler. i'm getting a header this friday and was wondering should i get a 2.25-2.50" exhaust or just leave it as it, header, testpipe and then nothing...would i gain anything from the increase in exhaust diameter vs the stock 1.75" even though either way there is basically no restriction in the system? yes i've tried searching this btw too.

are you serious?
youre asking if theres any performance gains going from 1.75" to 2.5"
i dont think you searched hard enough.

2.5" with a straight through resonator and a muffler is going to destroy a 1.75" with no muffler
a good straight through muffler is not going to hurt performance nearly as much as no muffler is going to hurt your ears

2.5" piping from the test pipe back to an apexi n1 style muffler is what im gonna do.
