Cosmetics question here, hope this isn't in the wrong place. Thanks to all who responded in my first thread here, it helped my buying decision.

I pulled the trigger on an '07 Accord sedan. Now... I have never tinted the windows of any car. I ended up getting a white one because it was available and fit my requirements perfectly and checked out perfect. My questions is - do guys generally tint the windows of white cars? Obviously it looks great on black and probably most other colors, but white? Is it done? What abotu ratios front/back?

Hope this doesn't sound too stupid but I was just standing there looking at the car and trying to visualize it.

Any comments or hints about tinting a white '07 EX-L are appreciated.

 

Of course white cars get tinted as well... any exterior color can always look good with tinted windows.
You should check out the laws about windows tinting on your state. Some places don't have any restriction towards any windows besides front windows and windshield. Some places, specify the maximum shade (how light or how dark) of tint on all windows around the vehicle.

 

Yeah, I figured that question would seem a bit strange. Basically I was driving home from the dealer and looking at all the white cars I saw and didn't see any tinted, and wondered if there was something I was missing. I guess I thought it might look too much like a limo or something. I found a few pics on the net just now of white Accords tinted and they look pretty nice

I'm in Canada and I think we have the same regs. I'll find out. Someone suggested 20/35 or 5/20 as good ratios.

 

20/35 and should be ok.....
where i live.... state law is 27 for the front (yes ...floridians.... the law in florida is 27% in the front) and no law for rear windows...
