Default How much should I look at spending on an 01-03 F4i?

Apparently in the NW CBR's are made out of gold, because I am having a hard time finding any "deals" on bikes in this part of the US.

It seems like milage, being dropped, and salvage titles have no impact on prices.

Most F4i's are going for like $4800-$6000, which seems excessive for a 7 year old bike.

I got mine for 4k, but it was dropped and ended up needing new forks

The best deal I've seen for a mint one around here was 4.5k. They hold their value pretty well.

For a bike thats in good shape, low miles and hasnt been thrown down the road? $4500-$5500.

I paid $4800 for my '01 F4i earlier this year with 6k miles on it. I dont care much about the resale, its got almost 15k miles on it now

be patient, the bike is worth 4000-4500.

i wouldn't be too scared of high miles in these bikes. as long as the owner at least half-assed the maintenance, they'll run forever.

I sold my CBR F4i a year ago with 12-13,xxx miles; been down once but fixed. Rear sets, Fender Elim, DB Screen, CF Accessories, New Tires, Aftermarket Rear Hugger, Targa Seat Cowl, CF Devil High Mount Exhaust, Flush Mt Signals, etc for $4,500

I would look at no more than 4-4.5 Around here at least I can find 03-05 RR's for 5-6. Hell a dealer here has 07 gsxrs for 79xx and 07 R6s for 83xx. No sense paying 2k less for a 6 year old bike.

I just bought mine about 4 months ago and paid 3800. Great condition, no drops, micron carbon exhaust, ZG windscreen, and 15k miles. I wouldn't pay more than 4500 and miles really don't matter too much on these things. They're usually totalled before mileage comes into play. Keep searching and don't make a quick decision.
