back from my trip to the north of Iceland, Akureyri. I was gona compete in the first official auto-x but it was cancelled. The reason is that the day before they have this annual drag racing in one of the streets, the streets are close and it´s used as a dragway and this has been for several years. But this year nobody won, the drag race came to a close when a awful accident happened. Two motorcycles were racing on the dragway and just as they came to the finish line this Toyota Avensis, with a women and a young child aboard turns into the street and one of the bike crashes head first on the Avensis on 200kmh! The bike rips into pieces and the front end of the Avensis and the biker flew 200 metres and takes a stopping light with him It looked like a fatal accident but he isnst in fatal condition anymore, thank to god... due to this the rest of the dragrace and the auto-x was cancelled..

edit : the area was closed and the police were suppose to be guarding that only hole that the car came in from, some out of towners who knew nothing about what was going on,

just to explain, this is called "Bíladagar" or "Car Days" and is held every year in Akureyri in the north... everybody that are into car show up and have a blast every year
