1991 Accord ball joint removal
I already got the snap rings off, but it seems the BJ wont come out from the top.
Do I need to press it out and press the new one in?
Thanks.

I just took it to the nearest shop. Charged me $30 to do both sides.
It was press fit and was very tight, no amount of hammering will get it out.

well its not talking about the upper control arm.. with the upper balljoint..
the lower balljoint can be taken out with hammer.... trust me.. once snap ring is out.. hit it with a nice hammer..

I tried hammering it out until the threaded taper stud got mushroomed. So I just stopped and took it to a suspension shop.

That's not exactly... better.
Say you have a hose leaking... will you buy new radiator... water pump and hoses for it?!... not really right?!... yeah...
If you don't have the tools to do it... have somebody WHO actually CAN, do the work for ya!!!!

exactly u don't hit it from right there. hit it where the joint is at... where its pressed into the knuckle thats where u hit... and also use a chisel or screwdriver..
