Honda Accord 2000 SRS light came on yesterday.Should I worry about it. Ihave about 150,000 miles on it.

Any suggestions.......anyone?

 

Sometimes a battery going bad will also cause it to come on. Has the battery ever been replaced before? If it's not the battery, then you should try to find out what else may be causing of the SRS light; possibly having it professionally checked.

 

mine has been on for like 4 years. I have been told that the airbags will still work so I don't care about the srs light.

 

Ya the battery was replaced a week back but I dont think that caused it.......Not sure.......

 

my light came on a few years back...brought it to the dealer they checked stuff out, never did say that they found anything. but the light hasn't come back on since.

I thought mine came on due to the little sticker on the back of the sun visor about the 10 year check up...

 

well it could be your actual srs unit, that controls air bags, system restraints, or it could be a seat belt buckle sensor that says that the latch isnt fastend when really it is. take it to the dealer with the light on, most of the time it will be warranty
