The hole on chassis frame for oem stock air box
there is a oval shape hole on the passenger side frame chassis behine the headlight. i think it was used for oem air intake box.but since i have aftermarket aem air intake.does that hole do anything to help increase the air flow in the intake or ? or can i cover it up?
You can cover it up. Im 99.9% positive that it was most likely for the bottom portion of the stock air box. If you would like to utilize that hole I have seen some people run duct from a bumper air duct to their intake.
You can use that hole for a CAI, but I wouldn't cover the hole. Any way (well not any, but most) you can get more, cooler air to the engine bay is good. If you were to put on a CAI, you would mostly have to worry about getting water in the filter, but that's what they make bypasses for that.
