JDM DC they are 300bucks and put the other 500 into something else...by the way expensive headers are only good for shining and wasting money

The DC JDM 4-1 is indeed one of the best values among the available headers, but Dave's (SMSP) headers are worth every penny and are hardly "only good for shining and wasting money" - especially on a modified motor. Both SMSP and Toda headers demonstrate their worth when installed on heavier-breathing engines.

If you have spec Cs, definately look into Hytech or SMS headers, very much worth it.

.....it seems that the manufacturer of the cams also makes quite a decent header.

One of the most patently ignorant statements I have seen lately here...

JDM 4-1, bast bang for the buck. quality, durability, etc.. plus you get a heat shield!

DC is a good choice too

For a setup like that I really like Toda... If you don't mind the wait SMS is really nice too. Hytech is a lil pricey for me.

A ported JDM 4-1 will still be holding back a car running Toda C's. By porting the header, all that is being done on the flange side is smoothing the welds (after re-welding around the outside of the primaries) and removing the anti-reversion piece at the collector. On cars running such aggressive cams, large gains will be realized by switching from a Honda JDM 4-1 to something like a Toda header or (better yet) an SMSP.

It also makes sense that if so much money has been spent building up a motor, there's less reason to go with a lower-performing header that won't let the engine reach its full potential.
