Exactly.
Which d15 crank? which d16 motor?
There's only like 30+ variations.

Save yourself the trouble and use a6 or z6 bottom end. Stroking a 1.5 to 1.6 is pointless IMO

well let me see i don't have a d17 crank or rod
and i have all this stuff lets do the math
and the d17 needs lots of work to make everthing right
like modifying the crank pulley and **** like that
and to all that keep saying not worth it
it;s worth it to me because i don't need some horsepower monster crankin like five hundred horse
d's are gods gift to man

OK, so let's get this straight. You have (3) fully assembled b7 blocks and (2) fully assembled vtec heads. If this is the case, put the vtec head on the non-vtec block and call it a day. Mini-me

No the blocks are NOT the same, and you can't stroke the B7 with a Z6 crank. The deck is shorter on a D15 block, so unless you got custom rods and/or pistons (driving the cost of this impotent setup through the roof, and well past the point of diminishing returns) all your junk would stick out the top of the block...and into the head. Plus the D already has the worst rod/stroke ratio of any modern Honda motor, you'd have to reduce that even further with the short rod and long stroke.
Whether you got a good value depends on what the stuff is, if you have any use for it, or if you can resell it. The VTEC heads are nice, they account for 2/3 the value of what you bought if they are in usable shape. You need to check the tranny cases for the "B000" code to see if they are worth anything other than recycling.
As stated, just start your project with a D16 block, or make do with a mild mini-me on one of those B7 blocks. In fact, make 2 and sell one to earn back the money you spent.

slow down for a bit there are many flaws in your plan.
the pm3's will be out the hole in any 1.6 block that is not a higher deck height.
you cannot mill your head or the block or valves will hit those PM3 pistons.........thats not good
you should not turbo charge the high compresion pistons

Anyone read that honda-tuning article on using civic GX internals on a d16 block?
Guy put down 13:1 comp i think, with 172hp and 139trq, pretty great for a d16 if you plan on going all motor (D-series all motor? I know, its blasphemy!
)
For those of you unfamiliar with what the Civic GX was, its the 2001+ civic that is natural gas powered, so yes, they are rare to come by. I read it thoroughly in the june or july (maybe august) edition of honda-tuning. Whole step-by-step guide of how it was done.
