i don't think you can expect very much, i'm not sure it would be worth it. There's not Vtec to control....so that cannot be elevated/tuned....all you could really do is change air/fuel....money might be better spent elsewhere....but it is your car.

goodluck

Accords are not STI's or performance cars

There's no way to *free* up random horsepower by chipping.

Listen, you are going to spend $$$ to get much power out of motor. To get MAYBE 10hp, we're talking just as much money as an H swap would cost. If you can't afford an H swap now, then it doesn't make much sense spending that kind of cash trying to gain 10hp. Seriously, it's just dumb.

NO, YOU WILL NOT "GET HP OUT OF IT". So, it DOES matter. If you've got money to blow, then you wouldn't be here asking this rediculous question over and over. No matter how you ask it, YOU WILL NOT SEE EXCESS HP. Stop wasting every one's time.

If you plan on swapping an H22A in later, there is still no point in chipping your car now, you're going to need a new ECU, and then spend the same amount chipping the P13 (H22 ECU) and even then....chipping won't do a heck of a lot....grab yourself a VAFC at that point...but with no vtec, and nothing to increase power what do you hope to achieve?

It's going to take you an extra 3/4 of a mile of drag strip to get your 96 lx to 120mph. So why bother. You do realize your driving a car that, when it is stock, is at best a 16-17 second car in the 1/4. Your Not going to win too many drags with that. Unless your running in the all stock, 3000lbs, 4 Banger, Grocery Getter Class..... Save your money for a swap or engine upgrades.

Well people have given you reasons not too. Personally, I wouldn't see much of a reason to chip a NA motor as it is... unless you have something you can control.

Doing just a chip alone will not benefit you at all. You'd be better off buying yourself a fart can and telling your friends it adds 20 hp.

But on a lighter note, if you want to "Mod" your car next week end, buy something cheap, and inexpensive until you figure out everything you plan on doing to the car. That's my two cents, but if you really want one bro, go for it.

even in the 3000lb fatty class you still gotta go up against 350Zs, BMW 3-series just to name a few. maybe in the 3000lb family car 4 banger class
