I've searched!

So my damn hood release cable came off from under the hood. I tried to pop my hood open by jacking the car up and trying to reach up from underneath the car. It is freaking impossible! How and where are you supposed to reach up and from where are you suppose to pop it open from? The only thing I can feel are my damn ac/heater hoses. Beyond that, it is freaking impossible because of the headers and freaking fans are in the way.

 

im sure somone has a batter isdea than me but worst case cut a large hole in the grill with the h on it.. if its a 96-00 and replace it with a type r grill

 

it's a 92 civic hb, and no, I dont want to cut my car, the car is a daily driver, no mods whatsoever, im leaving it that way.

headers???? fans????? how many motors you got under there? you just gotta reach buddy its not that bad if anything bring it to a shop and ahve them do it

 

reach your hand into the bumper grill on the top level of it...to the right side of the license plates hole. reach up and grab the cable and pull it down. you really gotta curl your hand to get it

You need to try reading that again.

His hood cable has come detached from the latch assembly under the hood. Pulling the cable will do absolutely nothing.

 

oh **** my fault...haha i dunno then

 

you gotta actually get to the release.. what yo uneed to do is push/pull wichever, its gonna be in the lower part of the assembly .. really gonna be the only thing able to move in it, good luck

 

this happened to me too, I ended up just cutting the grill
