ls swap in crx?
Yes you can swap a LS motor into a crx. But seeing how your new to this site let me be the first to let you know. Everything (well 99%) you have question on are in the "Search" and "Civic/CRX FAQ's" section. All that aside, welcome to H-T
Also to help you out, as most people don't search even when their told(you may be different) The 94 ls engine is set up for OBD1, your car is Pre obd. The best option(well in my opinion) is to buy a jumper harness(rywire.com is good), which will allow you to use the engine in your car(converting the car to obd1), also grab the distributor harness to make thing simple. Next you will need Engine mounts proper for that engine and your car, search for some, mine are generic(reputable generic haha). Next the proper axles, and hubs(depending on your model crx. Next you need to either convert your car to hydrolic clutch system, or convert the tranny to cable clutch(they sell kits for this). Bash out the frame rail on the drivers side, pop the engine in, new rad hoses, and your golden!
I would suggest you search though as i most likely forgot something as i have been drag racing all day in the sun, and im dead. W00t 8.49 at 164

Some posts have been deleted. Please do not comment unless you are going to help with links.
I am going to leave this open for the moment but that does not preclude the forum moderators from locking it when they want. The information is already out there, but the guy's trapped. If he has a question about a swap he's going to end up bumping a thread that is old, and he'll catch hell for that. If he asks new questions that you think are covered (and some of you don't know what you're talking about when it comes to this), he's going to catch hell for that.
We're here to help people and you should limit yourselves to helpful comments.
This is not a fraternity hazing.

^Yeah im a fan of searching, i read more than i post.
Anyways, To add to my first post while the engine is out, if you have time and money, you should consider replacing the clutch, pressure plate, flywheel(or machine the old one), and new pilot and throw bearings. This way if you ever go for more power or you just are hard on the clutch, its nice cause its one less thing to worry about. These days you can get whole kits for very cheap, my last clutch was from a local clutch specialty shop, 4 puck sprung for like $200 clutch and PP. It held up fine on my ls/vtec turbo.
Also replace the water pump. it will take about 5 min with the engine out, much more of a pain when the engine is in.

Go with hasport mounts and shiftlinkage. they are the best mounts. i thought i would save the money and use other mounts and they don't campare. how i know is i did a another swap later on with hasport mounts and they are they best. i still have both cars and u can tell a difference. u can cut your own shiftlinkage but i recommend hasports once again. LS crx's are fun cars to play with.

Okay here you go. You really need to start using this. This question is not new, but it sounds like you are new to Hondas, so you need to spend some time reading(not magazines). We will help when we can, but you need to make an effort to help yourself. Use this link https://honda-tech.com/zerosearch, and i assure you that you can find any answer you need within 10 minutes, its really not hard.
Also if you even went to some of the websites/companies listed above you would also find what you were looking for. Here is a link for that. http://hasport.com/tech/instal...B.htm
For your whole Type r head, good luck placing the words "type R" and "cheap" into any search and getting anything other than "type R badges, cheap" lol. A b16 head would work just as well for about 1/2 the price. You need to research these things a little more(or start researching). you will need a new ECU as well as more wiring for vtec. you will need to supply the head with oil(vtec req.) and need to block one oil passage in the head, tap and plug. (golden eagle makes a nice kit)
Axles, i believe i used the stock 92 Teg axles, and i used crx DX hubs(since mine is a crx HF) with the dust cover removed.
You already said its a 94, we understand that. What year and model is the crx? Are you dual point or mpfi? don't know? search.

Im sorry for being critical, but i try to be nice, answer questions and all. But these are all questions that have been covered THOUSANDS of times, all that is needed is the initiative to SEARCH for them. If these guys come in here new, and ask every little question they have in a new thread without searching first, well actually its already happening.
Those are your answers, the most important one, SEARCH.
And welcome to HT

It's the link to the search feature.
In your case you would type "LS swap" or something along the lines of that under the EF/CRX forum. The search results will list all the threads that had those key words. Make sure to check the archives as well.

Well all the b series swaps go in the same. The only things you need to change for your 94 engine is the transmission, change it to use a cable clutch system as opposed to the hydraulic clutch system as the engine is currently equipped.
Hasport sells this kit along with others, but there site is down now, so i can't link for you.
The next thing you need is a ecu harness, the stock harness you have in your crx will not plug into the new ecu. Contact Rywire for this, the new harness also makes it VERY easy to go to vtec later on. The website is http://www.rywire.com They are also really nice guys and don't mind giving advice or helping out.
Use the 94 teg axles, i can't tell you if you need new hubs or not because you still haven't told us what car you have(year/model). And i can't tell you if you need to convert to multi port fuel injection either as i don't know what you have, those are questions you need to answer. Or you could try searching.
