valve srpings?

I did a y8 vtec head swap on my y7 and put in a stage 1 cam..its has a hesitation does something need to be adjusted with the valve spriings?

Assuming everything is timed properly, what you most likely need is some tuning.

no i did not adjust the valves..and if i need to do so how exactly is it done
