Default SOCH ZC

i have a 1988 CRX si. with a SOCH ZC. now i go and swt my timeing so what my smog sticker ses under my hood(USDM D16 smog sticker)witch is 18 Deg. -+2 Deg. BTDC. now i have it set to that. and when i go to take it for a drive it feels like i just lost all my HP untill the engine is at 4000RPM then i feel my power come back. what im woundering is if im sopose to be running 92 octaine Fuel and if that mite fixx my loss of power problum???

i dont think 92 octane is going to help you because those dont run high compression whatsoever. My sohc zc didnt open up until 4000 either maybe that is just the way they are i dont know.

i mean its brutel power loss i mean if sounds like my engine is struglin to much

your spelling and grammar should be more of a concern.

bring it to the smog tech, he'll adjust your timing correctly. when it passes smog, you can advance it a little bit to squeeze out a few ponies.
