Car won't start, already checked basics, HELP
I just finished up doing a cable to hydro tranny swap and some suspension upgrades. I drove the car about 2 months ago last, and have changed nothing on the engine. The battery is dead, but I am using a 2nd car to keep the battery up. When I hit the starter, the starter sounds like it's going good. I pulled 2 plugs, and I have spark about once a second. The plugs have a few drops of gas, and the top of the pistons look moist. I checked the grounds, fuel leaks, all the fuses, primed it 25 times, and the fuel pump is making noise (it's working). Since the battery was pretty much dead, is there any chance it lost the Crome tune? I'm going to buy a compression checker now, any ideas?
i've never done anything special for my test (undo plugs, put in tester, crank car a few times)... last time i did my motor (140k stock ls), i was way higher than your numbers... 170s i think? that said, i know 0 about engines

if you are getting spark .. take some starting fluid and spray some in the throttle body if it runs for a sec and dies its a fuel related issue (ecu, injectors not firing, etc). Make sure the ground is good on the thermostat housing. thats the main hardness ground
Tried the starting fluid...no success...here might be the suspect:
Anybody know if all these wires are supposed to be cut?

The verdict is out:
When I installed the new flywheel, I tried to use a ratchet to get the bolts off, which didn't work, it just turned the engine over. The timing belt was not all that tight...at all. The belt skipped 5, yes 5, teeth. We moved it back, started right up. It burns VTEC fluid now, cylinder 3 is where the problem is. Compression is 190, 185, 155, 187 in order. It goes through a quart of VTEC fluid every 100 miles. B20 VTEC is next, should have it in next weekend.

sorry to hear. are the crap compression numbers due to the timing belt being off or was the motor just on its way out?
