Default WTT: 1993 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-7

I hurt my shoulder real bad and I dunno if I am gonna be able to ride anymore this season... So I am entertaining some trades for it.

GOOD
It has about 17k on it, Old school D&D exhaust, stage 3 carb work, 18 way adjustable OHLINS rear shock, zx7R cluster, New Dunlap Sportmax Tires Front and back. It runs really strong and just passed PA inspection this summer!!

BAD
It was dropped by previous owner, needs new paint and small dent in gas tank. I think if you painted the tank it wouldn't even really be noticeable. The plastics are fiberglass and are really expensive, but you don't need to replace them, just some new paint.

Would like to get a decent looking good running daily driver, possibly another bike... Pricerange is around 2000-2500 just so you get the idea

I dont know why and it's nothing personal but thats the freaking fugliest bike iv'e ever seen. The bike looks like more problems then then good riding. And it's been down twice by 2 different people. I would break it down and sell the parts. That bike is cursed.

haha, dude you have no idea, it is a 93, cheap, fast, reliable, the paint is the stock paint in 93. I have been riding it all summer with no problems. It handles really well. dry weight says 351, light nimble, good midrange torque. Do some research on kawi 750's.

Where the hell did you get down twice by 2 different people?? And like I said it just passed inspection at the beginning of the summer with no problems. Go e-hate on someone else, i don't give a **** about you.

Oh and i took a 2nd look, maybe you think i hurt my shoulder cause i dropped it, but I didn't I actually dropped my Trek!!!

Just a question not to "e-hate" by why are you looking to trade for another bike if you said you wanted to get rid of this one because you can't ride it? Sounds like this thing may have some issues.

well i would really like to trade it for a car... but if another sweet bike comes my way i would be more then willing to hold it all winter, maybe fix it up, and then ride it this spring. Ideally I would like to trade it for a car... I would love to have something bigger then a 750 though

no, the gauge cluster was replaced and the one that got replaced with an R cluster... and it read like 11k... but when i got the bike it had 10.6k on it (the cluster), but about 16k on the bike, hence the 17k total. Comprende?

If you were in CA, I'd buy it. This is my favorite generation ZX7. As a matter of fact, I almost bought a '95 as my "starter" bike.

out of curiousity......
why is the frame primer in one area, is that a ding in the frame (looks like where the bar end would of smacked it) and you said "the plastics are expensive fiberglass", besides contradicting yourself the tail looks like abs plastic to me so which is it? You have a few discrepencies (sp??) in your listing

The frame has cutouts for the bars - just like the new ZX6R's frame.

It's the tank that has primer. It's pretty clear that the bike's been down on that side at some point.

Ok I guess I need to clarify more, Im not stupid I know what a bikes frame looks like.

The blue circle looks like a ding from a bar end, if I can see it from that far how big is it really?

All the red circles are primer, if the frame is primered my question was, why? Is it scratched, chiped or something worse? Why is the swingarm primed as well?

OK the frame is not primed, that is just the color of it. The blue circle is also just the curve of the frame. All of the red circles is just because it is dirty and the color looks different, but I can tell you the frame is 100% and not primed anywhere.
The expensive fiberglass are just the front plastics, not the rear. The rear is all plastic, hence the black color from where the paint came off.
The tank does have primer on it because it was scratched and has a small dent on it.

If anyone wants a perfectly flawless zx-7 this isn't it. This bike has under 20k on it, is pretty goddamn quick, handles like a dream, and is fun to ride. If you want a perfectly flawless 93 keep looking. Like I said though, this bike passed inspection in the beginning of summer, always starts and runs great.

I think tomorrow if i get a chance i will clean it up and take some better pics. I just realized how goofy it looks with me standing up and taking the pic pointing down...

Thanks everyone for your posts though, I don't mind being called out, there is nothing wrong with being thorough and asking questions...
