i just bout a civic last week and when i got it home i noticed the igniton was drilled out. i whent and bought a new key tumber for it and i can't get the thing out.. am i doin something wrong? i'm pushin down on the pin and the assembly will not slide out any ideas?

ps i have the key turned to the number one spot

 

Take it to a dealership or locksmith, I don't mean to sound like a dick but these kinds of questions make me cautious. Why would you buy a civic with the keyhole drilled out? Who drills their own keyhole out to drive their car when you can get a new key? That should throw a flag for the stolen team.

 

yea but when i got the title everything checked out..vin numbers matched and if it's ne constalition the kid was a druggy so that expalans alot

so how did you test drive it?

 

i didn't test drive it i found it getting parted out so i threw them $350 for the shell/motor cuz i wanted a project car

 

it was getting parted out and the ingintion was drilled out?? sounds fishy to me

it's not all the way to the number 1 position it's just a little back from that... but you a key is really helpful to be able to pull it out
