B16a1 starter in d-series transmission??
While I was in the garage reorganising all the garbage, I stumbled with a used b series starter... (lol)
Having nothing else to do, I decided to try it in a DOHC ZC transmission that was somewhere near. It fitted!
Then I wondered: "what the hell?? is all this stuff the same?"
So, will it also bolt (and work.. lol) in d-series transmissions? I'm asking this because both transmissions where out of the engines, so there is no flywheel gears to actually test if they will work properly.

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the starters have differnt gear ends...One sticks out further, and one actually seems to be "inside" the starter....I think. Find a d-series starter and lay each side by side to compare. Nice discovery on the ZC fitment...Never knew that.
