Ok so im doing the 50 dollar paint job, and after i wetsanded, all the spots i really took down smooth turned a brownish color. It didnt come out when i washed, or when i rubbed the paint down with mineral spirits. I was using grey sandpaper so i dont think the sand rubbed off into the paint.

Any idea what this is and how to prevent it? Im ready to do my final color sand but im afraid of it turning brown again, which would look like trash.

It's prorably from your sanding block or the the oside of the sand paper. You prorably sanded a hole in the sand paper, and that's jsut rubbing off on your paint.

Monitor your sandpaper and you shoudln't have this problem.
