Default Better Intake Manifold?!

I was looking to get a new intake manifold for my DC5. Which is better, the type-R or the rbc manifold. An also, does anyone know how big the stock throttle body is on the 04 type s? Thanks guys.

It depends what your looking for. Are you looking for a perfect bolt on design, If so go with the Type R, If you don't car about making a few cuts and adjustments go for the rbc. If you are looking for better power in the top end, go for the rbc. If you are looking for better mid range power go for the type R

just go rbc the type r intake manifold is a waste compared to rbc and all you gotta do is have the water port thing cut off and get a throttle body adapter

Its the intake manifold from the euro type R accord. RBC is just the code for the type of intake manifold. It doesn't stand for anything.

Why are you switching, and if you do--do you have a K-pro to tune it?

Otherwise I would not sacrafice extreme top-end for midrange torque.

I was switching to get as much power out of my motor as possible without doing anything like cams/turbo/supercharger. I am looking into getting k-pro but i cant be without a car for any period of time however so im kinda stuck at the moment. I want to get the buddy club header for my car, but you have to remove the front sway bar because they come into contact. I read that the Civic EM2 sway bar will fit and not interfere but i also don't know where to get that. I'm getting the password carbon fiber intake, and the tanabe medallion touring exhaust. If anyone knows where to get the sway bar (civic) or k-pro without losing my car for a given amount of time, please let me know. Thanks

hey man, let me stop you bfore you spend money. in order to even get power out of the rbc intake manifold you have to get it tuned, other wise you will be sluggish. you dont want to upgrade til you get the kpro in there to tune. dont mess with the intake mani til you get it. ive been patiently saving up for my kpro since the intake manifold is relatively cheaper. save up for the toda race header, or the bcrh is a good one to, if you dont want to do extra work, id go with toda.
i just wanted you to know that you need kpro for the tuning, and if you cant afford it at the moment. id wait and get it all together like im doing.

Well i just sold my crx for $3750, i want to dump $3300 into my new car. I'm going to get the toda header, but i need to figure out what sway bar will replace the one i have to remove and where to get it. Ive read that the civic em2 front swap bar is the replacement when you do the buddy club header but i cant find it to buy it (em2 sway bar). Im trying to get K-pro atm but i cant be without my car for more than a day because of school and work so without spending another $600, I cant get k-pro yet . I think im also going to get the password CF intake, any opinions on that?

Listen to the advice here. Don't swap intake manifolds until you get a K-pro and can tune the car.

Otherwise, the car will be sluggish and the upgrade will have been pointless.

If you can't take your car down for a few days, then just don't upgrade yet. I don't see the debate here...

And, any Honda dealer can order an EM2 front swaybar for you.

Dont all Toda race headers come with a sway bar to replace the stock?

We all told you our opinions how you should get k-pro first but you won't listen. If you can't be without your car for a day then just order then entire ecu if you have 3700 dollars then sell your stock ecu.

some sites don't sell the Toda sway bar with the RH. just go to your local honda dealer, they should have one, its the same size (actually a little bit bigger, like .3mm) as the Toda and it's cheaper. and don't get the Password:JDM cf intake, complete waste of money. i saw on a dyno, netted only 1whp gain over stock
