Default Weird CRX starting problems

One day I got in the car (kinda hot day), and I turned the key, and my dash lights came on, but the engine didn't even attempt to crank. I tried it several times and nothing changed, I disconnected the ground on my battery for 5 seconds, then reattached-got in the car and it fired right up. So every now and then this would happen again and I would fallow the same procedure, car always started after wards.

Well the other day I went to start the car, and it didn't start this time (Even after I did the ground thing). After some troubleshooting I found that if I just keep turning the key on and off eventually it will start on one of the turns. It starting to happen all the time now (but not every time), usually it happens whenever the sun is shinning.

The battery terminals are clean, and the ground is nice and tight, any ideas?

You need a starter. You should here a click noise most of the time. Some times you wont even here that do to the solenoid being frozen. After so many attempts at starting it,you eventually break the solenoid loose and get it started. Just replace the starter and you'll be back in business.

Some days it just starts perfectly fine though, and I have never heard any clicks ever. Do you still think it's the starter?

Alright so then I will have to look into getting a starter...
I have a B16A2 swap in my CRX, it has a Hydro trans using a Hasport Cable-to-Hydro conversion, and is running OBD-1.

Does anyone know what I should get the starter for? I know I have ordered some parts for a 99 Si (B16A2) and they don't work b/c they are OBD2.

Are you sure there is no difference between the Cable and Hydro starters?
