Default about to do black dash swap soon..

yea, i have some pieces that are still tan ie. air bag, glove box, arm rest, door lock covers, and door handles. i really dont want to pay rediculous amounts of money to just get a color change so i decided im going to paint it. my friend told me prep it correctly so it turns out good, but which sandpaper and would gloss black or flat black vinyl paint be better?

I actually thought of doing this to my tan interior, I heard it turns out shi**y, but I would do a flat black...

im thinking of just painting like small things. ie top air vents door handle door lock covers, that plastic under the steering wheel, trying to avoid big things like glove box, arm rest and air bag

to OP, if you are going to paint select pieces...
start with 100 or 150 grit to get rid of paint, then use 220 or higher to smooth it out
and use primer if you want it to last, it will take a little longer to wait for it to dry, but it will be worth it, like said, if it peels it will look bad, this will help it stick (and only a few bucks)
good luck with diy projects (the origin of HT)
