car wont run anymore.
hey, i hope your ready to start reding a big book of problems... again, im only 16 yrs old so sorry about my blunt explanation
okay i have a problem, i was messing around at my farm, i dont have my license, so i was driving along and started out but then it just quit on me, at frist i thought i stalled it, but i tried restarting it but it wouldnt. i checked the ecu thing and that wasnt sending me any signals, but i turned my key and the check engine light came on.
but then i checked the engine compartment looked around my battery my cables were loose so i tightened them, thinking it wasnt getting enough power, all i hear is a small like clicking noise, not stedy just once. so i hooked the battery charger up, the big one with 40 amp charge i left it for about 5 mins and it was charging real hard so i tried it this time it made a new noise, to me it seems either it isnt getting all the power it needs to turn over. like the starter is just freewheeling not even turning the engine over kind of sound.
and i noticed by my distributer cap a plug wire wasnt in all the way, which sorda worries me. im not sure if it has anything to do with my problem though. but should i change my whole distributer and get a new wire? becuase it seemed like i ran a little bit rich, nt sure though. so i think one plug musta never got enough spark.
im thinking it is a problem with the alternator, or starter solenoid or the starter itself. i checked all the fuses and relays and they seemed okay.
also my battery ground seems to short and i was trying to relocate it, do you think this it my problem that my ground isnt realy making contact? it looks like a speaker ground for subs. if that is what they look like on this car.
once i had the big charger on my ecu light was blinking i caught a few lights but it died out sooon i think i counted 5 or 6 maybe 4
thanks for the help with my big problem.

i dont know what else to say other than
it wont start if that works better?
i turn the key and hear one click and that is it, my engine light dosent come on anymore and the ecu isnt sending any blinks.

usally that means the battery is dead but get it checked then it might be the starter but the clicking is the starter not getting enough power for the most part good luck im 17 and i get some of the same newbiee problems so dont feel bad
