ok 1st off, im totally against altezza tail lights but. an opportunity arose today for me to pick some up for 20 bucks. im wondering, can i crack open the housing like i did when i cleard my front headlamps? i was wondering b/c i think it MIGHT look cool if i color matched where it was chrome to match my body color. and just have the cirlces. i mean the "mini-project" will only end up costing me like 50 bucks. and if it dont work out i might be able to sell them.

 

yeah you could, im thinking of doing the same thing just to be different, i have a white 04 coupe and it would look sick with my head lights cause i black them out.so i say do it

 

im fixing to go pick em up now. i guess ill post a diy if anyone gives a ****. i need to get some paint though.

 

i think since your car i silver if you did it silver to it would just blend in to much.

NO OMG!! U CANNOT DO IT LMAO. TRUST ME I TRIED IT WITH A FRIENDS ALTEZZAS FOR HIS DODGE NEON.. they are not held together by silicone or whatever like headlights, the plastic is molded together.. when u heat them up even a little they just melt as a whole.. trust me.. i dont think theres a difference between these tyc altezzas for the neon and the ones ur gona get for ur vic... im just saying.. i wouldnt waste my time.. u will be dissapointed.. i say buy them and sell them to a ricer somewehre for double.. or jus dont waste ur time getting them at all....

 

ok i got them. they dont actually have a housing. there like a 3d thing by apc (the ult ricer company). they are also some cheap cf wanna be ****. its even flaking off. im gonna take that **** off and just try it. anyone got an idea about the best way to take this fake cf **** off?

no dude i seriously do not like them. i hate chrome. they look so gay. they never match. but when some guy asked me if i wanted them for 20 bucks, i was like hell i can probably paint them, and they might look cool.

This people only want the best for you and for your car. See those alteezza tail lights are not originally made for our car and if you put that on, you will be considered as "ricey". To tell you the truth i've gone all the ricey way before and very happy having those "bling bling" thingy in my car and I think i'm the best guy in world because i'm totally diferent but then I noticed those items get easily damaged, get cracked and chipped off and soon I realized that my car is like a frankenstein creature.
So if we're flaming you it's because we dont want you to be laughed by someone who knows exactly about car, those people who we can say professional.
Use the OEM accessories or parts it will give a good look, last long and you will be proud.
