Accident story (already posted on s2ki for duel members)
Well I just arrived home today but I was awake in the hospital for 11 days, in a coma though for 18 days. So I am really lucky to be alive. At this point I am having a little trouble with cognitive functions and I was just approved to walk the other day.
The damage I received in the accident was a blood clot in my right leg and my eye came out somewhat on the left side. The problem with my left eye is my 6th corneal nerve came detached so I see double now.
I don't remember the accident at all, but from the looks of it someone else was at fault. I spun out on a straight away which I take at speed and then was T-Boned on the passenger side. I was airlifted to the hospital from there.
The car is totaled and I have to go 6 months without a seizure before I can drive again. I have never had a seizure before but they found an avm which could of been at birth or accident could of caused. For those that don't know what an avm is, basically really small blood vessels covering the outside of the brain.
I had an 00 Silverstone Metaillic with about 90k miles.
Just thought I would share, especially since I am doing better.

wow man...you frequented this forum before your accident right? your forum name looks familiar. I really hope you recover fully. If you can, I'd be really interested in a more thorough story, if at all possible.
Well the s2000 forum in the lasr couple months because I actually just bought it on Jan. 6th, so it took me 8 full months and 10k miles to get pummeled. I spent a lot of time in the Forced Induction forum because I had a turbo Integra (which was stolen) before the s2k.
In case y'all are wondering I got t-boned by 2 70 year old ladies in an suv which was fine.
I was visiting home from school and the accident happened about 2 minutes away. I was spotted by a friend and he told my parents who beat me to the hospital. I don't really know how my parents beat me there though because they didn't know for at least 10-20 minutes and I was actually MedEvaced which for those who don't know is a helicopter.

AVMs are from birth. They come from when your brain is developing and the blood vessels don't form correctly. They are ultra dangerous and depending on where it is located in the brain could pose a serious threat.
My mom got really sick and fell down on July 11, I called an ambulance and she never regained consciousness she died early afternoon July 12th. Her AVM was very deep in the brain and when it burst filled up the whole internal area of her brain with blood shifting her brain and making her loose all consciousness and mobility and all that, because of its depth it was inoperable. She wasn't in pain and died peacefully.
I'm glad to hear you made it through the accident. Take it easy and get better. AVMs are ultra rare and don't at all mean that you are doomed or anything like that. Get better, take it easy and look forward to a new s2000.

There outta be a law.
I hate driving within 100 feet of anyone who looks like they are over 60. Older people should be required to take a license test once a year.

i hate threads like this, cuz i feel sorry what youve been through... no pity here here cuz i know you gonna be fine and get better... just take it one day at a time... welcome back homie
Not all of AVMs are started at birth. In really bad accidents there is usually enough brain trauma to cause this, but with how well I have been doing I think it was an at birth thing for me.
No pics yet the police still hace my car. The police have done a serious investigation as to what exactly caused my accident. I spun out on a road I knew very well and was going in a straight line when I went off road with the reaar passenger side which caused the spin.
Thanks Frank, I saw it yesterday. Apparently I have a facebook thanks to friends if you want to check it out it is under my name which you caan text me for my name if you need it.

Whar is really frustrating is it does not matter how well my eyes are doing (cuz my left eye which was damaaged is repairung itself everyday) is that I have to be 6 month seizure free before I can drive again, and I have never had a seizure in my life!

so you wont be seeing double forever? seeing double seems like it would **** me off more than not being able to drive.
but hey, at least you're still here to tell us what happened
hopefully the police will figure out that it wasnt your fault

You get used to seeing double after aa few days. And yea ir]t's supposed to heal itself in 2-6 months but if it doesn't heal in 6 months it will be permanent and I have to have surgery to fix the straight forward part. To the left I will still see a double a little.
Thanks S@ntos, I know we have had quite a few post together.
