either deflects more air down so theres less drag on the other junk under our cars, or its for the people who like to park their cars on sidewalks.

Its just a parking curb grabber! lol Im assuming my car used to have one but the owner before me done removed it for me on a sidewalk or curb. lol Doesn't serve a perpose, i mean inless your doing 200MPH then it might but for these cars its just for apperence.

To be honest, if you're a careful enough driver, you shouldn't ever need it. It's not like your lowered all that much, to where it would come in handy for speed bumps and such.

i'm not quite sure how'd it'd help going over a speed bump, or if you were not a careful driver... if your car was lowered, you're either gonna hit your bumper or not. a small piece of rubber will not save your bumper by cushioning it.

i mean, if there was some sort of light notification on your dash that told you when the rubber scraped, sure it'd be helpful, but since there's not, what's the point?

If you don't notice something scraping as you drag it over something, than I could understand what you're trying to say, but as low as my car is, I notice when things scrape.

Hehe, I know the feeling. I exploded a fender liner thanks to a dead raccoon.

Most recently, I installed my HKS's, and tested the fully-lowered setting. Now, I don't live in a neighborhood with curbs/sidewalks, but I scraped on my driveway. I took out the ruler to measure. Yeah, maybe 1.5" to the sub-frame was a little too low. That, and I couldn't steer at all.

That would have a bit of effect... My CRX I had used to scrape on speed bumbs... the oil pan... so I had to hit them at an angle.

it is a gauge of how low your car is (lol), if u are dropped pretty low it will be all messed up and if u are stock height it will be fine unless u can't park
