Default f22a to f22b dohc ecu problem

when i bought the motor i was told that my f22a ecu works for the f22b dohc. i am about to finally instal the motor and i want to make sure that it will work because i am having trouble locating an ecu for the f22b. so my question is if a) will my f22a ecu run my f22b motor? and b) if i can't locate the proper ecu can i use one for the h23? i really need some help here so thank you

i have an f22b dohc ecu for sale (p39 - MT). you can get away with running an h23 ecu (p13), but it is either going to run a little rich (or lean, I don't remember).

I have Accord 93 and I want to put a F22B dohc, how can I do it. Does the computer of the stock car fit with that motor. The computer doesnt want to run the vaccum, how can I fix that, the secondary butterfly doesnt want to run because their no wire for that. Please I need help. I have both motors out side my car. Please reply.

the motor from your car will run your f22b, but make it run like ****. you can use an h23 ecu, which will be better, but your car still won't run perfectly. you need a p39 ecu (which I have for sale lol)

you can buy the wire and everything on ebay to install your secondary butterflies ... that's what I did when I installed my h23

That BS about the ecu thing. I've been running my stock sohc ecu for the last year, and run the stock intake manifold from my sohc engine as well. the car couldn't run better, i dyno'd it making number higher than the engine was rated for, oh yeah and my mileage went way up too. Car gets 750kms in the city and 850 on the highway...not sure what that is in miles, but its a lot!

Same thing here sUn!!!!

I had an F22a1 motor in the lude (SOHC) & when I got it swapped to the F22B (DOHC) they kept the same ECU & also used the F22a1 Intake manifold.

No probs at all & the car runs great.... idle's really smooth, accelerates like a mawder fawken champ & haven't had Any probs.

I wonder if using the F22a1 intake manifold is the key ???? Why use that one?? why not keep the other manifold that has sencondaires ?

I had opted not to use the dohc intake manifold because of two reasons:

- it would have meant moving around a number of vacuum lines, both manifold were set up differently in that regard.

- it pretty much would have required me to run a different ecu in order to control the butterfly system for the runners. I don't belive there is much performance differance between the two. By staying with the sohc manifold, i lost like 7 hp, but gained 11 ft lbs torque according to the dyno, a trade i would take any day
