Default Advice on B18A1 longevity

Hi. I just bought a 92 Integra LS 4 door with 218,000 miles on it. The head gasket just failed and it has some other engine issues. I am thinking of rebiulding this motor from the bottom up but I am concerned that the block has too many miles on it. Would it be better to look for a swap with low miles or go ahead with the rebuild? If I am rebuilding, would it be best if I bored the block .020 over? I guess I should mention that I am not trying to build a super high hp engine, just a reliable motor with a little extra kick.

There's no reason for a block itself to ever fail. After being bored out enough times you'll need to sleeve it, but you could rebuild an engine a dozen times if you wanted to.
