Default quesiton about tire size on 18 inch rims on my type S

Im running 225/35/18's on my 18 inch rims. My car is lowered with tein spirings 1.4F and 1.3 rear. Right now whenver I go on big bumps or pot holes, I hear a loud noice in the car. Im thinking its the tires, since they are 35's ( Car runs fine on stock tires)... Is anyone else having a similar problem? if i chang my tires to 40 would it make a difference??? Also another related question is would a 225 45 18 fit on the RSX with 18 inch rims?

thanks

thanks</TD></TR></TABLE>that may be a problem
it could be a litter too large for that drop
i do not know for sure
but i have 225/45/17, adding another inch to it would be too risky on my part
although i'm on sportlines
wouldn't be worth the risk

hi, thanks for the input guys, Im running 18 X 8.5 on a 42 offset. Maybe its the shocks cause they are stock, but I only had the springs on for about a year and the car has 53000 miles, so I don't know if the shocks would go bad that quick unless they don't respond to tein springs that well to begin with. I was thinking it were the tires cause the profile is way too low 35. usually its the setup for 19 inch wheels.

I can pretty much guarantee that your OEM shocks are done. Plus, you have, more than likely, heavy 18" wheels on there. Both will contribute to a crappy ride because your shocks aren't up to controlling the springrate.
