Default compression test.

Im buying a 94 civic hatch with a jdm b16a swap. I did a compression test on it and i realized after i left that i had done it not correctly,i didnt count the number of times it turned over......he did turned it over around the same amount of times as i recall but it wasnt exact,i was too busy watching the stanley cup game on the tv in his garage....oh well i can always go back. Anyhow it registered 170 psi on each cylinder...is that good? thanks. Ryan .

well my 92 b16 had 215 across board, it doesnt matter how many times you turn it over? you just keep turning over with gas w.o.t. untill the needle stops! good luck, eric

Yeah, shouldn't matter how many times he turns it over (as long as it isn't like once or some bs like that).

just make sure its a consistent number of times u do it for each individual cylinder. i learned to just do it til the needle doesnt go any higher. also doin a compression test with the throttle closed will give you different numbers from doing it with WOT
