Koyorad radiator???
My radiator busted the other day. Knew it was getting close to time for a new one but anyways. I saw that my car came stock with a Denso, so I called around looking for one. The dealer wanted $313 for a factory replacement, but my dad found a place downtown that had a Denso for for $160 including tax. Went and got it, paid the money, came all the way back home. Well that was this afternoon and a minute ago I decided to pull it out and see how it looked. Looked for Denso on it and saw it NOWHERE. I am pissed... It says Koyorad at the bottom on a sticker and that's the only label on the whole thing. It's an exact replacement of the stock. EVERYTHING on it looks exact but I don't wanna pay that much for a new radiator when I can go to Napa and get one for 120 or so that could be better. Anyone know anything about this Koyorad thing? Should I keep it? Is it worth 160? Thanks everyone and sorry for making this so long.

Okay, I might just keep it instead of making a big deal about it.. Thanks. Anyone with any advice when changing this thing? Never changed a Honda radiator before...

changing is simple if you just use photographic installion (in your head) i have a koyorad oem replactment. it is the oem repalce in my opinion, my car never overheats..the worst it does is hit middle point between hot & cold. but mainly my temp needle stays under the middle point.
1. make sure your car has cooled down (it's best to do on a morning after you wake up)
2.drain your radiator with the drain bolt found on the bottom of the radiator
3.unplug your condenser and rad fans
4.unbolt your condenser and rad fans
5.pull your condenser and rad fans.
6.place a drain pan under the lower rad hose and using adjustable plier clip the clamp and slide it upward on the hose, allowing you to wiggle the lower hose off of its housing on the radiator.
7.unscrew your coolant reservoir cap (attached to the hose) . wipe it and let it dangle near the radiator.
8.with adjustable pliers again clip the clamp once more and slide it upward on the hose so that you can wiggle the upper hose off its housing.
9.there are top mounts that hold the radiator in place, i think they come off by unscrewing a total of 4 screws? 2 on each side (i think)
10.you can now pull the radiator
then repeat these steps in reverse to install.
*Note: i believe when the new radiator is installed, you fill it to the filler neck. correct me if i'm wrong. i think you're supposed to use at least 80% of your new coolant

That's how i remember doing it, but everyone is different

Thanks man, that's gonna help out alot. I'm gonna try to tackle this first thing in the morning. If you don't mind me asking, did you pay as much as me for that thing? I think I got ripped off haha, but that's okay, everyone else had to order it so I guess it's worth it not to have to wait till the middle of next week

That helps alot too, thanks. I got to looking and saw all aluminum radiators. Wish I coulda got one. I wonder if they would be as likely to bust as a plastic one when they get older. Oh well, too late now haha

Yep, that's pretty much what mine looks like, minus the Koyo box. It was just in a plain radiator box. It does have that one little label sticker at the bottom that says KoyoRad on it lol oh and Made in Indonesia.
Koyo is good stuff. i just bought a OEM replacement from them for my miata, quality looks great (havent installed yet). paid $115 for mine shipped from ebay.
my box didnt look like that though
