Default were these strut bars installed correctly

one side is longer than the other?
I'm asking because my alignment seems to be off after installation.
All the screws are mechanically tightened.

Is it just me, or is that an eBay strut tower bar? The overall design looks pretty weak.

I wish I had a means to which I could measure the skid pad of a car. That way I could test the "theory" that eBay strut tower bars do anything at all.

There's slop in the bolt holes, which you undid to put the bar in. if the suspension moved, its theroetically possible you messed up the alignment... the bar didnt do it, that thing isnt going to pull on the frame of the car with any sort of force that would mess it up.

so an alignment would fix this?
Doesn't matter one side is longer than the other?

I wouldn't think so unless you undid all three bolts of the strut, which it looks like you had to do.

It's very possible you threw off the alignment during install. Did you jack up the front?

i doubt the alignment would go too out of whack just from installing this.

your alignment is messed up anyways, go get an alignment.

He's allowed to say what he wants, as long as there's no real extreme abrasiveness. Although I don't entirely agree on his opinion, my posts were nothing to be proud of. I am just a little strained on posts with people doing the "cheap modifications" that are readily available on eBay, and coming here to ask about problems. Forgive me if I don't really see that as a "Technical" issue, more than a "Personal" issue (for choosing cheap parts, you get expensive problems).

And, as for DsevenEm2, you've been here 6 months. Whatever you've gathered about me in 6 months is entirely up to you, but trying to justify your argument over how much of a "big dog" I am, would be ill-advised unless you've been here as long as some of the other members that have been here as long (or longer) than I have and have witnessed how many times I actually have helped.

haha i'm not offended at all, especially when you lock my posts up because I'm new to mods. I've noticed a difference in handling and ideally thats what matters. It might not be as good as a high name brand one but to me they are all metal sticks and as long as they dont break apart and as long as I don't drift too much I should be fine.

Well, that truly is what is important. To be honest, if you can get someone to fabricate a couple triangulated bars from the center bar to your firewall, as well as, some stronger mount supports, it would perform almost identically to the top dollar stuff out there.

Yeah, no problem. To be honest, I was expecting people to start hating me more and more, once I took the position of moderator. And, thus far, I've seem to prove myself correct. But, I didn't take the position to be loved, I took it to better the 2001-2005 Civic community here on Honda-Tech. Whether or not I've done so, will always be a mystery to me.

Well speaking of megan racing strut bar does anyone know how good they are? I seen them on ebay but also on the Dezod site....So I don't know what to think about them but for $75 it can't be much. I know the DC sport ones are about $260 and way up. Just wondering what Matt was thinking on that, if I just should save up and wait??

I, personally, would put money towards something else. Like anti-sway bars with some strength.

Yeah I was looking at the progress sway bars that dezod has, planning on getting everything done to it and do a complete rebuild and boosting the engine and putting a shot of nitrous just to top it off. =] Thanks for the advise.

Or, make one for no money at all.
