I towned a full B swap in the trunk with 2 people in the car with a stock y7 in my EK.
Had to put some crap on the rear floor and seat but yah =P haha
I havent towed with a civic before, but in my VX (original motor) I hauled a few different LS motors, a d15z1 complete swap along with two full tool boxes and another person, and I never had a single problem.
All depends on if you can get a hitch that is rated to support the kind of weight you are needing to haul. And make sure you have a good clutch.

I drove from Delaware to Connecticut to Washington with myself and my boyfriend and my car ('98 EX coupe) loaded with my possessions. Montana was difficult because of the 107 lb-ft of torque... but it was fine otherwise.
Oh, and if you get pulled over in Montana without being a state resident, they will make you pay the cop right then and there. They'll even follow you to a cash machine to take out money.

Ive towed a Buick Centry with my 93 coupe before, it only had an LS motor in it, and drum brakes in the rear, worked fine. Had a buddy with a stock 90 Accord tow my 93 coupe before too, about 30 miles, worked fine, I think youd be more than fine with your setup dude.
when my friend snapped his belt on his el camino about 2 miles from his house, we had 3 friends straight leg it off his tailgate to my front bumper in my 97 civic hx...pushed him all the way home. friends legs were safe luckily. stupid looking back but whatever, it worked. you should be good to go though.

As I said, besides having issues with getting up really steep hills, my car was fine with all that crap in it.

Long time back there was a picture of a crx with a roof rack that held a gsx-r. Something about not wanting to buy a trailer and having enough scrap metal to do the job..

It'll be fine...I'd weigh it first just get a general idea..but if you have 900lbs...that's the equivalent of 3 fat people in the trunk, a civic can pull that.
The only thing I'd be a BIT concerned about is front traction, but that shouldn't be a big issue, as long as you're not popping the clutch. Your motor should have maybe 190lb/ft tq. at the wheels which is more than enough to pull that on wheels.
I mean ****, I dragged a 600lbs generator accross my lawn with my dad's Jetta and that doesn't have wheels on it (just on rails).
I pulled a 500+lbs incinerator out of my basement w/ the same Jetta using the railing of a suspended deck, and that puts down only a little bit more than a civic..and nowhere near a supercharged GSR.

i used to pull dual jetski trailer with 2 jetskis all the tim with my 96 dx stock everything.. liek tey said if u have a b-swap u have the power.. but its stopping it.. electronic trailer brakes could enable you to tow much larger things..
b20 would be the best towing motor for the price..
just think crx is a suv people tow crap with them all the time
