My 98 Prelude Jerks forward when I come to a stop [Help]
This issue is really annoying me. It seems as the more a drive the harder the jerk goes. Is it my tranny? When I drive from point A to point B, everything shifts fine. No slips, grinds, hard knocks, etc.. I put it to from D4 to reverse with no problems at all. However, the jerk comes right after I come to a complete stop.
Anyone have an idea to what the problem can be?

I'm thinking it's a bad motor mount. Do you have the means to check them yourself? If not, any shop that can get under a car can at least check them for you. If they say one's bad, ask to see it just to double check

Check the engine and trans mounts.

thanks for the input, fellas. I'm praying its not my tranny only because of the bad history between the 5th generation prelude and the ss auto trannies.
I've never had any tranny problems so Im hoping its something else.
Ill see if I can stop by to my local mechanic and have him get his input.

Damn, I really didn't want to here that. Oh well.
What trips me out is that everything else is fine. It doesn't fall under the typical ss auto tranny symptoms category and everything shifts properly....its just this annoying jerk that gets to me.
Ill go get it checked out tomorrow.

What type of fluid did you use?

i also think its your tranny. but if you are going to change fluid, use honda or Synthetic ATF. some tranny may shift hard if the cable are not adjust right too.
