Default Power Steering SOHC DOHC Question.

Would a SOHC Power Steering pump work with a JDM DOHC engine? My only consern is the belt on the DOHC pulley. Anyone try it before?

bump for an answer and clarification

I now know that you need to use a Dseries ac compressor with a Del Sol/CRV bracket, but for the PS im confused. I think you need the Bseries PS unit...

The reason why I didn't use a my B series one is because it wouldn't fit correctly. I would have to bend my SOHC P/S line to make it fit.

Thanks for the bump

i'm almost positive that you have to use the b series PS pump. it should all bolt up and work

That line was giving me a hard time. I was about to heat it up a little with a tourch to bend it a little.

92-95 any integra pump will do.
96-00 SI pump will do.

You could make a custom bracket (i did for a friend) but thats up to you on how much fab skills you think you have.

Well right now I have everything hooked up. It squeeks like hell and I think its because the belt is stopping. When this happens I loose my power steering. I was thinking it's the belt. idk mannn...

Thanks for the link pdiggitydogg
