Friends got a b16 in his teg, it has the ECU, that has the Blinking light that shows the code, the car has a cable tranny...

my question is, is there a better ecu to put in, i think this one is obd0, some puertoricans owned the car, so i dono if its correct

 

By what you said there is no way in telling what ecu the car has besides what you stated, that its obd0. Read the numbers off the side of the ECU and there should be "PR3" somewhere in there. If vtec is crossing over chances are it has the right ecu. Alot of people like to run obd1 p28's and chip them if he isnt happy with his ECU.
