The only issue is with the hot/cold temperature selection. the usdm climate control is adjusted via a **** and cable, but the jdm one is controlled automaticly through the autocon(its controlled electronically). So basicly evrything works besides the temp adjustment. If you want to go from hot to cold you have to open the hood and do it that way or tuck the cable somewhere hidden with the **** attached. That works

Know any place to get the usdm climate control? Only place I can find one is the dealership and they want 300 dollars.

Interesting cause I know people have hooked up all the electronics with no problems. They didn't hide a cable somewhere or have to get out of their car to adjust the temp. You just have to get all the electronics to go with it. Sio what you are saying is not correct.

Were you just trying to make me look stupid or can you actually help in any way? Maybe alink or something because I wasn't aware of the fact the it could be hooked up due to the jdm models being right hand drive. I heard you had to use all the underdash components or something like that

everything i've read recently is that it CANT be done for the above reason.

i havent looked into a auto climate control, i dont know anything about. id like to hear more info as well.

what i wonder is that not only does the manual **** control the heater core valve, but also the air mixture flap. so how does the auto climate controller work? does it actuate both as well? and then how? then why cant the electro-mechanical components be switched over? integrated to the heater core which is not interchangeable? (i can see that as a valid reason).

btw, 1st gen acura legends had auto climate control. im wondering why cant someone hack and try to fit that? a lot easier than finding a "JDM" one...

I cannot find the write up I remember reading a thread where it was installed working at 100%

From my understanding it does actuate both core valve and mixture flap.

Id like to see this also. There was a manual on ebay that apparently translated the wiring diagram for the JDM climate control. Not sure if its still on there or not though.

Ok, I guess I'm not talking about a jdm one. I saw the pic of the jdm one with the aircon square thing. The one I'm talking about looks exactly the same as usdm except where the ac button is....it's just a black button. It was on ebay and said jdm but I'm guess ukdm or something. So I'm guessing this one would work oem??

Ok, so if I have the ac climate control panel I could take the button out of it and put it in the non-ac climate control panel right? I'm guessing that's easy do to if possible.

AutoAirCon uses some sort of solenoid to open the flapper door,I wouldnt even attempt this swap unless you can find the complete system,as there is no US equvalent. Not saying it wouldnt be sick, but you need everything to do it correctly.

I would also say it's not for your average car person...I'm sure it's a PITA to wire everything up CORRECTLY and get it working. But as far as just swapping climate controls...it won't work correctly as stated in previous posts.

Can anyone verify that this has everything you need? I'm in the process of restoring my car with a bit of custom touch, such as a shaved wiper and squirter etc... And I've always had the idea of the Auto Aircon in the back of my mind
