I just got my integra about 3 weeks ago, just started driving it...I thought my engine was knocking, but then realized it only does it when i'm on a hill, but when i press in the clutch the knocking stops. The clutch was replaced about 45,000 miles ago. any ideas?

its probably not your clutch. when you press the clutch in it just disconnects the engine from the wheels. its probably got somethin to do with the engine and such

Dont listen to either of those guys. Obviously they have never had a throw out bearing go out on them. What you are describing sounds exactly like a broken/worn out TOB. Its the main bearing "on" the clutch.

If it only happens when your on a hill is it possible that you're just not used to driving a manual car an your bogging going up the hill. Try reving a little more and see if it still does it. Could be wrong though. Is this your first manual trans?
