Default NEED HELP HOW TO TITLE A CAR FOR EMISSIONS/ milwaukee folks

OK I have a 98 ek hatch and I now it wont pass emissions the engine lights doesnt even turn ON with turn of the ignition switch and the charcoal canister is missing what can i do to fix this . is it easy or will it be much easier to title it up north where their is no emissions . What steps do i need to do. Do you guys think i should try n fix this issue or just register it up north.

its obd 2 can it still pass with engine light not working.

not with obd2, doesnt matter if you pull the bulb or cut the wire, unless you trick your ecu.

Did you already fail the emissions test?

It is easier to register the car up north. You just need to give the county and city that the car is "supposedly" kept in. You never have to get an emissions test done, they just send you the stickers ever year. You don't need any proof and they never check. It takes less time than sitting in line for the actual emission test.

You should fix your car anyway though. The check engine light is the first line of defense and can detect minor issues before they turn into major problems. Is your car stock? Sounds like it's kind of hacked up...

well its that silver ek hatch that was on here it used to be h22 turbo fully built i bought it from civc4life guy and before that it used to be ranta18's car it has a skunk2 intake manifold in it different manifold in setup that it comes on the stock d16y7 so i dont know if that could be it. ill check if they pulled the bulb or something.

Did you fail the visual inspection or the actual emission test. Im not sure how Milwaukee emission inspections are but in California your vehicle would automatically fail the emission test if your MIL light doesnt turn on.
