Default 4th gen shift **** stuck?

i was wondering if its possible that my shift **** is welded/one piece with the shifter. its freakin tight when i try to unscrew it.or is this normal? btw this came with the car so i have no info on it.

Sometimes they'll get stuck, but I seriously doubt yours is one piece. If you don't plan on keeping the factory ****, get some channel locks and go to town

channel lock pliers great idea! ill try to heat it up to see if that helps.
its a mugen style shift ****..all metal so it gets hot as **** in the sun. ive actually been looking for a OEM leather one.
any idea if a newer prelude oem shift **** or say a s2000/rsx shift **** would fit?
