Default Lower Ball Joints?

My 93 Civc is startin to squeel like crazy when i ride and turn and I believe its the lower front ball joints... I tried gettin the part from a junkyard but they only pulled out the lower control arm for me... So I basically bought the wrong part... Then I was told that it would be difficult to take out the lower front ball joints and replace them... I found some on ebay for pretty cheap and I would like to know what my options? From the looks of it... It seems like I should buy the whole assembly connected with the lower control arm all the way up to the upper control arm...

I bought lower balljoints from eBay. Cheap and does the job. Had them on for over a year and no problems.

It is suggested that you press them into the knuckle, but it can be done with lots of lubrication and a mallet.

You can also put the ball joint in the freezer for a few hours then heat up the knuckle with a propane torch. Once its good and warm drop the cold ball joint through the knuckle it should go right in.

Big hammer. They might have a C clip holding them in too.

It could be your upper strut bearings making the squeeling noise. Maybe you should replace your struts. I've never really heard anything about lower ball joints making any sorts of noise. Note* Ball joints are covered in grease/lube and tend to be very quite.

93 Civic don't have upper strut bearings they are a double wishbone suspension. Question what happens when the grease become contaminated or drys out. Lets just say they start to squeak and get play in them. Remember this car is 14 years old

my tires squeel, i've never heard of a ball joint producing a noise....and i don't see how it's possible seeing a balljoint doesn't really MOVE at any point.

They will squeak because they rotate inside the cup which is pressed into the knuckle and the "stud" is clamped in place where it attaches to the control arm. I used an air hammer from the bottom of the knuckle(stud end of the balljoint) and rapped it right out.

You really need to do some reading and watch some video of a suspension in motion. The ball joints does a ton of moving. it has to allow for movement of the suspension in a ton of different directions all the time and not bind to give the drive control of the car.

A ball joint will definately squeek if the greese leaks out through boot and the joint becomes dry.
