he didnt drop a vale til the end of the video. Before anything went wrong it just seemed like he was spinning alot of the line. His MPH is a 10 sec pass.

this is my buddies car, i was driving it. car was running a stock ITR head at ~23psi, and 9k rpm rev limit. we pushed the motor a lot farther than it liked. the car had 30+ passes on race gas tons more on pump gas, and 10k daily driven miles on 400+whp.

as far as the 10 sec mph, the car has run 10s before. the car cuts pretty consistant 1.6 sixty foots, if you watch the first launch its a 1.6, it just got worse through the night though, 1.6, 1.7, 1.8, 1.8, death. the slicks have 30+ passes on them and i think they just didnt have much left in them. still moving out on the awd cars though lol. im surprised after 30+ passes they still have that much traction though, i mean to the very last day they cut 1.6's. m&h 24.5x8.5x15

as far as diagnosis, we havent taken the head off, but there is no doubt total destruction of the number 4 cylinder. including pistons, cylinder walls, and head(might be repairable but probably north worth the time). paul pulled the plugs out no signs of detonation, even in number 3 which i gave us some hope, then went to check the number 4 plug wouldn't even budge. we pulled the valve cover off and it looks like 1 valve broke, and another might be bent.

he is parting out the car rather than building another motor for it. i got his gucci leather seats and im actually going to run the turbo kit on my car now. damn everyone loved that car. at least it went out like that and not into a tree or something.

thanks for taking the videos, eric has a few more of the pass, including a closer one of the final seconds. maybe hell post it up, not sure.

nope. just the one. the day it ran 10s the plugs were gapped too wide it began to misfire a little bit, so i didnt make any full passes after that one. the only other time it had a chance to do it again was this wednesday, and i drove like crap/kaboom.

like others have said already it was a piston/rod motor. and the ITR head was brand new from the dealership, so the motor was no a stock longblock let alone a $1000 b16 long block lol.

at this point it would cost him about 6k to get the car running with a sleeved motor and new head. since he was already going to sell the car recently hes just gonna part it all out.

you tell me. part of the valves seemed to have made their way into the other cylinders almost. the pistons look pretty good though. no signs of detonation. stock sleeves look good at 500whp

FWIW the head was an OEM ITR brand new from an acura dealership with 10k miles on it.

I also dropped a valve on a brand new itr head with less then 10k on it... Stock itr valvetrain + 8900 rpm revlimits + fts = ticking time bomb.
