Hey everyone, I am in the process of replacing my B16A block with a B18C1 and keeping my stock head. My question is, as I am swapping all of my sensors and accesories over onto the gsr block I noticed a few differences in the two blocks. Minor things like coolant line placement and the oil filter has a "sandwich plate" type assembly on the B16a. It looks like one you would use if you were to have an oil cooler. Anyway, I have swapped everything over and then I realized that my b16 has a two wire sensor in the block on the back right next to the oil filter...I'll get pics later. My b18C doesn't have this. Is this an important sensor? If not, will my PW0 throw me a code? If it is, is there anyway to use one from another car? Thanks to anybody who can help me. I wanna get this thing started!
ur talking about the fan switch. u will have to convert it over the the new plug, u can find a crap load at the local junkyard. ur new fan switch will be located on the thermostat housing.

That sounds like what it could be. I looked at it again and it is tapped into the water jacket surrounding the cylinders. Could you give me a little more info on how to convert it to the thermostat housing. Couldn't I just hook up a relay to my ignition so the fan is always on when the car is running, or just a switch. Thanks
