i am trying to get some upholstery done in my car and wanted the seams to have this stitch.
i was trying to explain it to the guy doing the work and he had no idea what i was talking about.
so if someone could tell me what it's called that would be great.
i'm gonna have to go to a fabric/sewing store if i can't get the answer.

oh and no i'm not doing yellow so don't say it looks bad. the yellow picture was easier to see so i picked it.

i swear some of you guys just post something to add to your post count.
thanks for the answer.
the reason i can't show the guy doing the work is cause it's a friend of mine that doesn't know about sewing. his cousin works at a shop with a sewing machine. he told him he could use it when ever he wants. so i told him to make me some seat covers for my 70 c10 pickup. even if they look like **** it's better then whats in there now.
so now i can tell him the name and have his cousin show him how to do it.

Not that I know what I am talking about with sewing or anything... but how can DOUBLE reinforced possibly be weaker than SINGLE reinforced. Why wouldn't they just call it double waste of time?

no double reinforced has one seam in the middle, and the flaps are folded back and stitched to the backside of the fabric, leaving one seam holding two pieces together. on a single reinforced both flaps are folded to one side and stitched, leaving two seams holding the fabric together.
