Sorry for double posting...told to try my luck here
I want to find out the specs. and what the engine is called.m looking for basicly a bunch of measurements and detailed info like that runner port size, tb bore size, non vtech. I curently have a 1.6 Hyundai engine i got sitting in my garage...long story but i thought it would be fun to boost it. Now In my opinion Hondas have some of the best N/A 4bangers around who else has a 2.0L pushing 210 HP N/A? Certanly NOT Hyundai but thats what I want to change...Im not looking to make HUGE HP numbers just to transform and make better something i know has a lot of potential. Any help whould be great. Thanks. I tried mini cooper forums but they dont seam to respond much.

WTF? Please explain what you want this forum to help you with? You want us to help you boost a Hyundai engine?
What i would like to do is get the engine to the same specs as a 1.6l DOHC Honda engine. To do that I would need to port the heads to a certain size, get a TB to match, cam degrees, possably any kind of ECU maps ect...
I know its a lot but on a stock engine it shouldnt be too different.
The only Honda engine i found that matched this hyundai one was a 1.6 sohc honda civic 105hp and 105hp...now what i would like to do is boost this hyundai motor using honda methods...the way i see it is if i can get the engine as close to a factory spec 1.6 DOHC non v-tech honda motor than I should be able to use similar honda mods when boosting.

listen dude, what type of Hyundai are you working with?
you know its possible to do evo swaps on certain chassis.
basically you want the same hp/liter ratio that a honda motor would have?
why?
numbers like those aren't useful in real world scenarios since others are not limited in what size engine they have.
are you going for a certain class of racing or something?
if not, you should leave the Hyundai motor at its given compression ratio rather then raising it and see what aftermarket support there is for it.
rods, bearings, a redone head and good fuel management are going to determine how well, and how long that engine stays running under boost.
not weather it matches the spec of a 18 year old honda civic Si engine.
although i can see why you would ask.

Oh no...its got the same litre its the same hp to start that im looking for...see tunning wise its gonna change because i plan to boost it...and since honda people love to boost thier cars so much and since the engine is much similar i thought it would be easier to go to those who have the most exp. with it. Also the compresion ratio is 10.0:1 no real need to change it there. The engine came off of a 2004 Hyundai Accent....(yeah i know taboo...not only is it a Hyundai but its an accent to top it all off. Ive been looking around for a couple months now...no internal parts available, some minor n/a parts like headers, intakes, TB, and underdrive pullies are all that is available performance wise. Since Honda has what i think the largest aftermarket parts selection to choose from on ALL there engines i thought that by trying to duplicate some of the engine specs a bit and experimenting with parts i can build it better for boost.
I got a mechanic whos a friend and hes going to help me with all of this so to to mechanical work and spending money is not an issue its just refining what most consider a CRAP engine into something that poeple go...wow..thats not bad. For a while there Honda had a bad rep itself but it got better...waaaay better.
