Saw it available in kings for the RXS. I know this ECU was available for older models and B series engines, but I've never seen a project from this forum using it.
Anyone using it? Kpro > Mugen N1 for K series?

I had it on my k20a for 3 years.
vtec engagement is at 5200rpm and redline was increased to 8600rpm.
If you don't want to bother with tuning and kpro then its a good alternative but the kpro you will get more power out of the car with proper tuning.

the mugen n1 ecu is pre tunned and doesnt seem to let you do much to it ... also some dealers have a little discloser
(From Nengun.com) - These CPU`s cannot be purchased without a racing license and the registration of the vehicle.
and most likely all the ones that dont will tell you this when you order one from a us dealer ...
simply put the reason you havent seen it used on anyone's project is because kpro:
1. gives you more power
2. tunner friendly
3. cheaper
4. tunable and re-tunable if needed
5. fits for any kind of built anyone can come up with and less limitations

true mugen is great (1300 dollars great) but money is money so k pro (1145 dollars) is worth it ...

Mugen N1 is pretuned. Its an upgrade chip.
comparisons chip vs chip isn't fair until you factor in tuning costs as well but I agree the KPRO is what you need to make the most power. For the Mugen Faithful who just want that JDM BLING its a solid upgrade.
In Canada the hondata distributors jacked up the price so its actually more expensive than the Mugen N1.
KPRO > N1 for the simple fact that you can tune and potentially make more power.
