i want to start on my wire tuck but before i get started does anyone know if it's illegal to do here in Cali for smog? Even if all smog parts are hooked up correctly and working.

I wouldn't count on getting it past the Referee, but I don't think a smog check (after getting the ref sticker) would be a problem.

what do you think the issue from the ref would be. if all smog items and sensors are hooked up.

Is your tuck going to annoy the ref? Probably. But the connectors he still needs to see will be visible on the injectors, dizzy, etc.

I'd wait until after the ref to be on the safe side, but if everything is hooked up correctly (vacuum lines included) you should be just fine.

...oh, and I've been to the ref 5 times

Ref's are a funny lot and you have to keep in mind that they have, what you want!

abram_quito; you live in Minnesota and don't know what you are talking about in regards to the Referee!

yes it can be illegal. When I ref'd my B18C CRX my ref gave me crap for just having an A/F guage tapped into my O2 sensor.

So the reasoning is any wire that is tampered with (especially) for a sensor could get a fail on the visual inspection. So if you cut a wire, tap it or extend it with more wire then keep the tuck until after a ref.

If its just any smog station then you're probably gonna be ok
