So I've been riding for 2 months now and earlier today I was on a somewhat busy road with a speed limit of 45 mph. I slowed down to 20 mph to take a right turn at an intersection and I got honked at!! Am I going too slow or is the driver a douche?
So, how fast do you guys go?

theres too many different sitiuations u can be in when taking a turn so u will be at different speeds for different situations.

 

Did you have your turn signal on? Was it a separate turn lane?

Nevertheless, take the turn at whatever speed is safe and comfortable for you.

Take the turn however you want.
20mph sounds too fast for a car to be taking that turn, so it would definitely be fast for a bike.
I think you're just being a little too self conscious.
I take intersection turns in first gear. I have no idea what speed that is because i'm not looking at the speedo, but i know that i lean over good and plenty.

 

Making a right turn at 20? Doesn't sound slow considering that most cars make right-hand turns slower than that. The guy was probably just impatient...unless it was a larger intersection with three or four lanes going each way.

Though this is comming from a guy who has been riding for about two months as well.

69mph. It's the perfect speed for handling and stability. And I like the number.

Haha, I keed I keed. Honestly, I've never really paid attention to how fast I take them. Whatever seems safe to me at the time and location

on my 250 i did around the same, around 20, but on my new bike i do around 10 cause im not used to it yet

 

i usually like to come to a complete stop and hop off my bike and walk it around the turn.

i use this same procedure when crossing intersections also.

 

Blah, I go thru intersections, fairly slow and upright, I don't have much to prove and I don't want to cross over painted surfaces with my bike leaned over. I save that for the backroads. I think when most people honk its because something else is pissing them off and honking at someone for anything is just some stress reducer.
