take it to a pro or just spray myself?
I need to color match a front lip and fog surrounds, should I buy a can of spray and do it myself or take it to a pro? how much would a pro cost do you think? cans are like 15 bucks aren't they?!
Well if you don't care what it looks like then do it your self. But it will not mach as good as a pro job or look as good as one. I vote to take it to a pro.

Well you can get a can of paint from http://www.paintscratch.com for $24.95, and it will be mixed by your paint code. It's not a garuntee that it will match dead nuts to the rest of your car though. I would assume you can get a can of clear coat for the same price, so you'll have about $53 in paint, then all you'll need is a scuff pad or some sand paper. To have it done professionally at a shop they will most likely charge you $125 - $150. You would definately save money doing it yourself, just practice a bit so you have a nice finished product.

You can also go to someplace like napa that mixes paint and have them use their color match gun on your car. Takes a snap of your paint so that when they mix you up a spray can, they can lighten it to account for paint fade. If they do it near the places where youre going to paint, it should match dead on, it might be a little shinier though since its freshly cleared. Depends on how new the paint on the car is. If its 20 years old, its not going to match as well.
napa tool dme they dont mix paint and cant get paint.
If its a easy color to match red black white I would hit it with duplicolor spraycans 5 bucks each, then use rustoleum clear enamel can s for clear cause i never got a good shine outta duplicolor clear but thr rusto clear can give a good shine if applied in the right conditions....
