OK the hatch "trunk" wont lock lock in place i had a screwdriver bit and black tape and taped the bit directly under that "hook" thats supposed to keep the trunk from opening, it works but now theres a huge gap between the right side of the trunk and the right side taillight and the trunk now rubs against the left taillight does anyone know what the problem could be? and or how to fix? "oh yeah i taped the bit on the "hook" cause it wouldnt reach the "latch" that locks it in place."

 

Are you sure the latch isn't just stuck in a locked position?

 

spray some lubricant to try and free the latch up if it stuck

 

IT LOCKS IN PLACE AFTER I WRAPED THE SREWDRIVER BIT WITH TAPE AROUND THE HOOK BUT ONLY CAUSE OF THE BIT AND TAPE WILL IT SHUT AND STAY SHUT THE LATCH ISNT STUCK IM MY GUESS WAS THE HOOK DOESNT REACH THE LATCH WHEN SHUT SO I USED THE BIT AND TAPE TO GIVE IT THE EXTRA 1/4 INCH THAT IT NEEDED TO REACH THE LATCH AND NOW IT SHUTS BUT ALONG W/ THAT THERES GAPS AND RUBBING.
